The BMair Protector Plus X expands the BMair Protector system by adding powerful activated carbon gas filtration.
Together, the Protector and Plus X modules create a complete protective ventilation system that filters both hazardous dust and harmful gases, ensuring maximum protection for machine operators.
Designed for demanding environments such as construction, demolition, mining, and industrial worksites, the Protector Plus X helps maintain clean air inside heavy machinery cabins.
Dual Filtration for Maximum Protection
The Protector Plus X combines two modular filtration elements.
First, incoming air passes through the BMair Protector HEPA filtration system, removing fine dust particles such as silica and other airborne contaminants.
The air then flows through the Plus X activated carbon module, which captures hazardous gases and vapours before entering the cabin.
This dual-stage filtration provides enhanced protection for operators working in contaminated environments.

Modular Filtration System
The BMair Protector acts as the base filtration unit and can operate independently for dust filtration. When additional protection against gases and vapours is required, the Plus X module can be connected to create a complete cabin filtration solution.
This modular concept allows operators to upgrade their filtration system depending on the working environment.

Real-Time Monitoring
The Protector Plus X works with BMair Connect, BMair’s advanced monitoring platform.
The system continuously monitors cabin pressure and filtration performance, alerting operators if pressure levels change or if contaminants are detected.
Operators can also access system data through a real-time online portal, allowing easy monitoring of filter lifespan and system performance.
Smart Air Quality Sensors
For environments where gas filtration is required, BMair smart sensors can be integrated into the system to continuously monitor air quality inside the cabin.
These plug-and-play sensors connect directly to BMair Connect, automatically detecting the sensor type and monitoring the environment in real time. Depending on the application, sensors can detect contaminants such as VOC gases, ammonia (NH3), or CO₂.
All monitoring data is available through the BMair Connect online portal, allowing operators and fleet managers to track air quality and system performance at any time.
Plus X and Plus Y
Combining the BMair Protector with the Plus X module creates a powerful filtration system that protects operators from both hazardous dust and harmful gases. The Protector removes fine dust particles, while the Plus X module uses activated carbon filtration to capture airborne gases and vapours before they enter the cabin.
The system is designed for easy integration on machine cabins, commonly installed on the roof for optimal airflow and filtration performance.
BMair is also developing a second modular expansion, Plus Y, which is expected to be available later in 2026. This version will offer an alternative installation option designed specifically for deck or fender mounting on heavy machinery.
